High School Teachers Raise Thousands For Sudbury Women’s Centre

The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (district 3-Sudbury) has announced it has donated $4,628 to the Sudbury Women’s Centre.
“We are thrilled to be able to help local people in need within our own community,” the federation said in a release.
“OSSTF/FEESO raised funds by hosting a porketta bingo at the Beef-n-Bird Tavern on Feb. 10. The event was sold out, and great fun was had by all.”
The federation said it is grateful to everyone who supported the event by purchasing tickets, as well as the local businesses who donated door prizes, including Verdicchio’s Ristorante, The Kouzzina, M.I.C., Ripe, Milestones and Eddie’s Restaurant.
