We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Program and Operations Manager to support the delivery of trauma-informed, community-based programs that empower women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals. This position plays a pivotal role in coordinating day-to-day programming and ensuring effective team operations aligned with the Sudbury Women’s Centre’s mission and funding commitments.

About SWC (Sudbury Women’s Centre)

SWC is a nonprofit organization that supports women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals navigating challenging life situations, including but not limited to gender-based violence (GBV), intimate partner violence (IPV), social isolation, economic hardship, and systemic barriers.

Through trauma-informed programs, peer support, community engagement, and resource navigation, we help individuals build safety, wellness, connection, and resilience. Our programming includes:

  • Violence prevention and recovery supports
  • Newcomer integration and conversational English groups
  • Senior wellness and inclusion programming
  • Workshops and peer-based learning groups
  • Access to practical needs, referrals, and system navigation
  • Advocacy and support for navigating complex systems

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily delivery of programs and client services
  • Supervise and support program staff
  • Ensure programming meets funder requirements and reporting standards
  • Foster an inclusive, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive team environment
  • Support grant writing and assist with identifying new funding opportunities
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful execution of programs.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Support evaluation efforts and outcomes tracking across projects
  • Manage relationships with funders, partners, and community stakeholders
  • Participate in internal planning, team meetings, and organizational strategy

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Social Work, Community Services, Gender Studies, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in program management, community-based services, or nonprofit operations preferred
  • Knowledge of gender-based violence, trauma-informed care, and crisis management approaches
  • Proven team leadership and staff supervision experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and digital tools
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on project metrics.
  • Availability for occasional evenings or weekends (e.g., events)
  • Access to reliable transportation is an asset (some regional travel may be required)
