Healthy Relationships and Boundaries for Women
Healthy Relationships and Boundaries for Women is a series of 2 hour ONLINE workshops that looks at building healthy relationships through a self-compassion lens. This is and interactive workshop that talks about recognizing feelings and actions and the impact that has on our relationships.
Sewing Circle
An ongoing program hosted every Monday and Thursday, which allows women to partake in small sewing projects to encourage development and strengthening of both skills and relationships. Attendees will have the opportunity to exercise their abilities and creativity with the assistance of volunteer instructors and with a large assortment of material options.
Self-Compassion for Women
This self-compassion workshop is a series of 3 hour workshops held once a month which uses group exercises, learning materials, and literature to assist women in learning the importance of self-compassion and showing one’s self-kindness as well as how to identify and communicate one’s feelings and build emotional resiliency.
My Sister's Closet
Women can pick up gently used clothing, footwear and accessories for themselves and their children. All items in the closet are $1/item or free for our clients. Items include; work & casual clothes, dress & casual shoes and purses, infant & children’s’ clothing, boots and shoes.
Safety Plan Workshops
Leaving an abusive relationship can be very dangerous, that’s why it’s important for victims to work with agencies and create a safety plan.
Staff work one-on-one with clients to address their own personal needs.
Recognizing Domestic Violence Workshops
2 hour domestic violence presentations that cover topics about domestic violence, such as:
Understanding Domestic Abuse- Addressing Myths,
What is Domestic Abuse?,
Types of Abuse.
A New Beginning
This teaches women how to re-enter the workforce, important pre-employment preparation, how to write a resume and cover letter, and preparing for a successful interview.

We offer a safe place to support women in their journey in getting from where they are now to where they want to be. We offer the tools, resources and support to help and promote women’s status and well-being.
We are a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to providing information, referral, and support services to women who have been impacted by violence and/or difficult life circumstances. Our Centre offer key tools and resources that assist women in addressing issues of systematic discrimination and violence. We are committed to serving the needs of women in our community. To create and maintain a safe environment that is inclusive and respectful of diversity.
